In Almaty the premiere of “The Girl and the Sea” social drama  took place in Kinopark 16 theater ( “Forum Almaty” mall ) with 5 full venues. It is directed by Azizzhan Zairov and Mukhammed Mamyrbekov. Made by ‘Kazakhfilm” studios with participation of “Novyi Mir” ARDI studio due to Ministry of Culture and Sport’s order.

“Assan” short feature and “Ancestors’ Heritage” documentary directed by Berik Zhakhanov were screened in US. Both pictures were made by ‘Kazakhfilm” studios due to Ministry of Culture and Sport’s order.

Today the head of Russian ‘Soyuzmultfilm” animation studio Boris Mashkovtsev visited the “Kazakhfilm” studio. The president of “Kazakhfilm”, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Arman Assenov and head of ‘Kazakhfilm”’s animation department Aday Abeldinov welcomed him at the studio.

The gala opening of the Week of Kazakh Cinema was held in one of London’s most well-known theaters, «Vue West End» on Lester Square. The event opened with the acreening of “Oralman” (‘Returnee”) film directed by Sabit Kurmanbekov. The film tells the story of a Kazakh family returning to their original Motherland from Afghanistan. “Oralman” was introduced to the public by an acclaimed scriptwriter, Honored artist of Kazakhstan Nurlan Sanzhar.
