In city of Almaty at KinoplexxSaryArka theater the gala premiere of “Zhaksylyk” film - directed and scripted by BakhytKairbekov- took place. The two cinema venues were crowded with people eager to watch the movie....

The “Shynyrau” feature film directed by ZhanabekZhetiruov is taking part in the 2dKaaryat International Film Festival of India, Jaipur which will be held within the dates of 21 and 22 December in city of Jaipur, India. The movie is made by “Kazakhfilm” studio due to Ministry of culture and sports’ order.

The conference of Association of Turkic world’s filmmakers that took place in Istanbul within the dates of 17th and 19th of December finalized their work. The Kazakh delegation including the president of “kazakhfilm” studio Arman Assenov, “Kazakhfilm”’s Managing director Kanat Torebay and also the well-known filmmaker Rustem Abdrashov held an active work on building the international liaisons in film industry. One of trip’s main achievements is that Arman Assenov joined the Executive Committee of Association. The decision on his membership was unanimous.

Firstly, a film made by “Kazakhfilm” studios commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and Sports will be screened as part of the 3rd Guwahati International Film Festival program, which will be held from October 31 to November 6 this year in Asama (India).

In Almaty the premiere of “The Girl and the Sea” social drama  took place in Kinopark 16 theater ( “Forum Almaty” mall ) with 5 full venues. It is directed by Azizzhan Zairov and Mukhammed Mamyrbekov. Made by ‘Kazakhfilm” studios with participation of “Novyi Mir” ARDI studio due to Ministry of Culture and Sport’s order.

“Assan” short feature and “Ancestors’ Heritage” documentary directed by Berik Zhakhanov were screened in US. Both pictures were made by ‘Kazakhfilm” studios due to Ministry of Culture and Sport’s order.

Today the head of Russian ‘Soyuzmultfilm” animation studio Boris Mashkovtsev visited the “Kazakhfilm” studio. The president of “Kazakhfilm”, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Arman Assenov and head of ‘Kazakhfilm”’s animation department Aday Abeldinov welcomed him at the studio.
