A Kazakh-Japanese coproduction film is released in Japan
On January, 18 of 2020 the Kazakh-Japanese film “Horse Thieves. The Roads of Time” directed by YerlanNurmukhambetov (Kazakhstan) and Lisa Takeba (Japan) was released in theaters of Japan. The gala premiere took place in “Sinjuku Cinema” in Tokyo.

The film “Kazakh khanate. Diamond sword” will be seen by residents of Omsk
On the 21st of January 2020 film “Kazakh khanate. Diamond sword” will be shown in the Russian city of Omsk in the film center “Babylon” during the festival of Kazakh cinema in Russia. The movie was produced by “Kazakhfilm” studio due to the order of Ministry of culture and sports of Kazakhstan. The General Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Omsk and other guests of honor were invited to the show.

“Kazakhfilm” celebrates 60th birthday of its title name
Today is the 60th anniversary of studio’s title name. On January, 9, 1960 by the order of the Ministry of Culture of Kazakh SSR the Alma-Ata film studio of feature films and chronicles was renamed to “Kazakhfilm” studio.
