On the 21st of January 2020 film “Kazakh khanate. Diamond sword” will be shown in the Russian city of Omsk in the film center “Babylon” during the festival of Kazakh cinema in Russia. The movie was produced by “Kazakhfilm” studio due to the order of Ministry of culture and sports of Kazakhstan. The General Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Omsk and other guests of honor were invited to the show.

Today is the 60th anniversary of studio’s title name. On January, 9, 1960 by the order of the Ministry of Culture of Kazakh SSR the Alma-Ata film studio of feature films and chronicles was renamed to “Kazakhfilm” studio.

As part of cinematic tradition, the leading Kazakh film awards – “Kulager-2019” was held in Almaty. Organized by the Filmmakers’ Union of Kazakhstan.“The Secret of a Leader” directed by FarkhatSharipov was named “Best Feature Film”. “On the Edge” feature film directed by AldiyarBairakimovhas been awardedwith Greek Film Critics’ Association award at Olympia International Film Festival for Kids and Youth. It was held within the dates of November 30 and December 7 of 2019 in Pirgos, Greece. The movie is made by “Kazakhfilm” studio  due to Ministry of culture and sports’ order.
